Select Menu > Settings > Rest. factory sett. (or Reset device or Restore factory sett. or Rest. fact. sett.).

1. To reset only preference settings, but keep all personal data, such as contacts, messages and media file, select Restore settings only (or Restore sett. only or Settings only).
2. To reset all preference settings and delete all personal data, select Restore all (or All).

3. Enter the security code before the restore. If you have never changed your security code, then enter the default code 12345. If your phone still requests a security code or if you forget , please bring it to the nearest Nokia Care point for inspection.

Security keyguard lets you lock your phone’s keypad with a security code. The security code is asked when you unlock the keypad.

To activate or deactivate the security keyguard:

1. Select Menu > Settings > Phone (or Phone settings or Device) > Security keyguard.
2. To activate or deactivate, enter the current security code (The preset code is 12345).

Note: Note: Once you change your security code, the default setting is no longer valid. If you have changed your security code and do not remember the new code, contact your dealer or local Nokia Care Point.
You can answer a call or make an emergency call while the security keyguard is activated.

Select Menu > Settings > Security (or Security settings) > Security level. Enter your security code and select OK.

• Select Phone, and the phone will request the security code whenever a new Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is inserted into the phone.
• Select Memory, and the phone will request the security code when the SIM card memory is selected and you want to change the memory in use.

Refresh or update the music library. Open Music player (or Media player or My music), select Options > Refresh library (or Update library or Update libr.).

Select Menu > Settings > Display (or Main display) > Font size.

To lock the keypad in the standby mode, press the center Navi (scroll) key and then the * key. To unlock, press the same keys.

You can also set the keypad to lock automatically after a time-out, select Menu > Settings > Phone (or Phone settings or Device) > Automatic keyguard > On, enter the time you want and select OK.

Note: When the keypad lock is on, calls may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device.

Select Menu > Settings > Enhancements (or Accessories) > Charger > Lights > Automatic.

First, you need to configure the correct internet settings in your device. To check the internet settings in your device or enter them manually, do the following:

1. Select Menu > Settings > Configuration > Personal Configuration Settings (or Personal settings).
2. Press Add (or Add new) and select Access point > Access point settings (or Access point sett.) > Bearer settings > Packet data access point (or Packet data acc.pt.)
3. If Access Point Name is already automatically fetched from SIM configuration, press OK. If not, contact your operator or service provider.
4. Go back to the Personal Configurations Settings (or Personal settings) menu, where you should see a new access point created. 
5. Select Options > Activate.
6. Open Opera Mini browser and load the page.
7. If it fails, contact your operator or service provider.

Press and hold the key 1 until your device dials to your voice mailbox number or select Menu > Messaging > Voice mail (or Voice messages, or More > Voice messages) > Listen to voice mails (or Listen to voice msgs. or Listen to voice messages). For the first time use, enter your voice mailbox number which you get from your service provider.

Note: The voice mailbox is a network service, contact your service provider for subscription. If supported by the network, the voice mail icon (the icon on the key 1) will display on the device to indicate new voice mails.

Yes. During a call, press the selection key Loudspeaker (or Loudsp.). If the screen or keypad is locked, unlock it first. Then you can continue the call and at the same time open another application via Menu or Options > Menu.

If you are in application view when receiving a call, answer the call, then go to the idle screen to press the Loudspeaker (or Loudsp.) button.

1. Open the browser, press the left selection key (or select Options), select Tools > Settings.
2. Scroll down to Font size and press the central Navi key.
3. Select the desired font.
4. Press the left selection key, select Save.

There are three ways to turn on or off the predictive text input in your device.

• At any text entry screen, for example, in message editor, press and hold Options, predictive text is turned on or off, depending on its previous mode. 
• or at any text entry screen, select Options > Predictive text (or Prediction, or Prediction options, or Dictionary).
• At any text entry screen, for example, in message editor, press the “#” key twice quickly, then the predictive text is turned on or off, depending on its previous mode. 

The light effects are normally associated with incoming calls, missed call notifications and received SMS messages. The light effects may vary between your Nokia device and another Nokia device.

To turn on or off the light effects, select Menu > Settings > Lights > Light effects.

Your device screen light is turned off after a certain time your device is not in use (the time varies between device models), this is designed specifically for your device to save the battery power. It is not possible to change it. But you can turn on the light easily by pressing any key.

Note: the screen saver can be turned on or off separately in Menu > Settings > Display > Screen saver, select a screen saver and the time-out. The screen saver is activated in standby mode after the defined time-out. After the time-out of the screen saver, the power saver will be automatically activated.

Nokia 2700 and 2730 phones do not have screen saver.

You can set the keypad of your device to lock automatically after a preset time delay.

1. Select Menu > Settings > Phone (or Phone settings or Device) > Automatic keyguard > On or Off.
2. If you select On, Set delay: is displayed.
3. Enter the delay time (in mm:ss format), and select OK.

To lock the keys manually in the home screen, press the left selection key and *.

To unlock the keys, press the left selection key and *.

When keyguard is on, it may be possible to dial the emergency number programmed into your device.

When using predictive text input, if a question mark (?) is shown after the word you entered, the word you intended to write is not in the dictionary. To add the word to the dictionary, select Spell, enter the word and save it.

Note: You cannot manually delete words that were added to your dictionary. When the dictionary is full, the most recent addition replaces the first.

Select Menu > Settings > Call > Voice clarity > Active, then make a new call.

1. Open Music player or Media player application.
2. Select Go to Music player (or Go to Media player or Go to Media pl.) > Options > Settings > Music player theme (or Media player theme).
3. Select one of the listed themes.
4. The music player virtual keys may change based on the selected theme.
