• Which updating method is better for me?

  Selecting your device on the Device software update page will display the updating options available to you.

  If your device supports this feature and you use a high-volume or unlimited mobile data plan (or can connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi), you have the option of updating your device's firmware without the need for any other equipment or software. The download size is 5-10MB. Please note that you may not update using Bluetooth connectivity.

  If you have Windows XP or Vista, and a high-speed Internet connection, you can update your device's firmware using Nokia Software Updater. This also requires a USB cable to connect your device to your PC.

• How do I use my device to update?

  Tip: It is always recommended to backup your data before updating your software. However, updating using your device does not necessitate a full backup.

• How do I use my PC to update?

  Note: Before updating, you might like to backup your phone's contents using Nokia PC Suite. These can be restored once the update is complete.

  	1) Download and install Nokia Software Updater (this need only be done once).
  	2) Connect your phone to your PC with a suitable USB cable and open Nokia Software Updater.
  	3) Follow the on-screen prompts until your update is complete!

* We strongly recommend creating a back-up of your phone's content before updating the mobile device firmware. Earlier firmware version cannot be restored. Nokia cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party add-on applications that are not supported by Nokia. Before proceeding, please ensure that your Nokia device is covered by the CA warranty, in case you need to submit your device for repair, it must be covered by the CA warranty. The CA repair centers do not have the ability to repair devices that were not designed for the CA market.
