You can also operate your device with your voice. Call your contact by saying his name or open an application just by saying its name.

To call your contacts by using voice commands, do the following:

1. When in the home screen, press and hold Search.
2. The speak now window opens. Say the contact’s or application’s name.
3. The device shows you the list of possible answers, choose the right one.

You can check the list of applications and adjust the voice command settings by selecting
Menu > Settings > Phone > Voice commands.

Using the shortcut keys makes using applications more efficient.

General shortcuts:

• Power key - Press once to switch between profiles. (General, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor, Pager, Offline)
• Power key - Press and hold to switch your device on and off.

Home screen:

• Call key - Open the call log.
• 0 - Press and hold to open your home page in the Web browser.
• 1 - Press and hold to call your voice mailbox.
• Number key (2-9) - Call a phone number using speed dialling.

With the Search you can quickly find content from the Web or access your device’s data.

Enter your keyword in the search field at the bottom of the screen. The device searches through the data on your device, and you will receive a list of data items which include your keyword.

You can also begin your search by choosing one of the options from the My content list:

• People - Find your contacts in the device’s Phonebook.
• Messages - Find a specific message.
• Music - Find a song or sound on your device.
• Places - Look through the places which you have saved in My places in the Maps application.
• Other - Contains other data from your device, such as Calendar entries, applications, Notes, Bookmarks, Images and videos.

To find content from the Web, choose Search the Internet from the Search view. Select the search provider (for example Google), and allow the network connection. Enter your keyword and select Search.
