1. How do I use the Stopwatch on my Nokia phone?

You can measure time, take intermediate times or lap times using the stopwatch. During timing, the other functions of the phone can be used. Using the stopwatch or allowing it to run in the background when using other features increases the demand on battery power and reduces the battery life. Select Menu > Organizer > Stopwatch and from the following options: Split timing - to take intermediate times. To start the time observation, select Start. Select Split every time that you want to take an intermediate time. To stop the time observation, select Stop. To save the measured time, select Save, enter a name for the time and select OK. To start the time observation again, select Options>Start. The new time is added to the previous time. To reset the time without saving it, select Options > Reset > Yes. Lap timing - to take lap times Continue - to view the timing that you have set in the background Show last time - to view the most recently measured time if the stopwatch is not reset View times or Delete times - to view or delete the saved times. To set the stopwatch timing in the background, press the end key.

2. HHow do I use the Loudspeaker on my Nokia phone?

If available, you may select Loudsp. or Normal to use the loudspeaker or the earpiece of the phone during a call. Warning: Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is in use, because the volume may be extremely loud.

3. What are the default access codes for my Nokia phone?

The security code supplied with the phone protects your phone against unauthorized use. The preset code is 12345. The PIN code supplied with the SIM card, protects the card against unauthorized use. The PIN2 code supplied with some SIM cards, is required to access certain services. If you enter the PIN or PIN2 code incorrectly three times in succession, you are asked for the PUK or PUK2 code. If you do not have them, contact your local service provider. The module PIN is required to access the information in the security module of your SIM card. The signing PIN may be required for the digital signature. The restriction password is required when using the call restriction service. Select Menu > Settings > Security to set how your phone uses the access codes and security settings.

4. How do I change the tone settings on my Nokia phone?

Select Menu > Settings > Tones, and change any of the available options for the active profile. Your phone supports mp3 format ringing tones. You can also set your recordings as ringing tones. To set the phone to ring only for a selected caller group, select Alert for.

5. How do set up a Bluetooth connection on my Nokia phone?

  • Bluetooth > On or Off - to activate or deactivate the Bluetooth function. The Bluetooth icon indicates that Bluetooth is activated.
  • Search for audio enhancements - to search for compatible Bluetooth audio devices
  • Paired devices - to search for any Bluetooth device in range. Select New to list any Bluetooth device in range. Select a device and Pair. Enter an agreed Bluetooth passcode of the device (up to 16 characters) to pair the device to your phone. You must only give this passcode when you connect to the device for the first time. Your phone connects to the device, and you can start data transfer.
  • Active devices - to check which Bluetooth connection is currently active
  • My phone's visibility or My phone's name - to define how your phone is shown to other Bluetooth devices. If you are concerned about security, turn off the Bluetooth function, or set My phone's visibility to Hidden. Always accept only Bluetooth communication from others with whom you agree.

6. How do I change the call settings on my Nokia phone?

Select Menu > Settings > Call and from the following:
  • Call forwarding (network service) - to forward your incoming calls. For details, contact your service provider.
  • Automatic redial > On - to make ten attempts to connect the call after an unsuccessful attempt
  • Call waiting > Activate - to let the network notify you of an incoming call while you have a call in progress (network service)
  • Send my caller ID (network service) - to set whether to show your number to the person you are calling

7. How do I use the Operator menu on my Nokia phone?

This menu allows you to access a portal to services provided by your network operator. This menu is operator specific. The name and the icon depend on the operator. The operator can update this menu with a service message. For more information, contact your network operator.
