Write and send e-mail
You can access your e-mail account with your phone to read, write and send e-mail. Your phone’s e-mail application is different from the SMS e-mail function. The e-mail application supports the most common internet e-mail accounts (POP3 and IMAP4).
Before you can use e-mail, you must have an e-mail account and the correct settings. To check the availability and settings of your e-mail account, contact your e-mail service provider. You may receive the e-mail configuration settings as a configuration message.
To set up your e-mail with the e-mail wizard:
- Select Menu > Messaging > E-mail. The e-mail wizard starts automatically if you haven’t defined the account yet.
- Allow network connection, and continue by selecting E-mail.
- Enter your e-mail address, and select Ok.
- Enter your password, and select Ok.
- After the wizard has completed, you can adjust the settings. Select Options > Settings > E-mail.
- To get the right settings, contact your e-mail service provider for information.
To write and send e-mail:
- Write an e-mail, select Menu > Messaging > Create message > E-mail message.
- You can also attach a file to the e-mail by selecting Options > Insert.
- Send the e-mail by pressing Send. Select the desired account if necessary.
